Michelle Kenny is a registered Psychologist who has experience working in a variety of educational and clinical settings (primary schools, secondary schools and private practice). She has helped children, adolescents and adults manage challenges in their life including social, emotional, family and learning difficulties. Michelle has a warm and friendly personality along with skills in a range of therapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, interpersonal therapy, motivational interviewing and play therapy.
Michelle has in-depth experience in identifying and treating issues related to anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, risk-taking behaviour, trauma, school refusal, learning difficulties, anger management, bullying, family separation, ADHD, ODD, social difficulties, low self-esteem, autism spectrum disorders, and grief. She is also experienced in psychological assessment.
Outside of her work with We Care NSW, Michelle is undertaking a PhD project to develop a trauma-informed parent wellbeing program for Aboriginal families. Michelle really enjoys spending time with her family, friends and new puppy, Bob.
